Dr. Mike Lingenfelter
Lead Pastor
Pastor Mike possesses a comprehensive educational background in Theology, Christian Ministry and Leadership, and Christian Studies, complemented by a Doctorate in Ministerial Leadership. He has authored several books and specializes in expository teaching, emphasizing a verse-by-verse and precept-upon-precept approach to Scripture.
In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Mike serves as an Adjunct Educator: Doctoral Mentor at CIU. He is married to his lovely wife, Amy, and they are blessed with two children and one grandchild.

Garrett McQueen
Associate/Student Pastor
Garrett McQueen is the Associate/Student Pastor at FBC of Benson. He and his wife Jenna have been married since April 15th, 2023. Garrett recently moved to Benson, having spent 29 years growing up in Southern California. He received his BA from Biola University, and his MA from Liberty University. Garrett was deeply involved in ministry at his previous church where he attended for 8 years, Richfield Community Church. He was a high school small group leader, drummer, and then College Lead for 4 years. Garrett's passion is to serve young people, helping them trust and treasure Jesus will everything they have. Having stepped into his first full-time ministry position in June of 2024, Garrett is excited to pour his heart and soul into the people of FBC and watch the Lord save and transform lives.

Pat Kay
Audio/Visual Director
Pat Kay serves as the Audio/Visual Director at First Baptist Church. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry from Wayland Baptist University.
Pat has been part of the FBC family for over 20 years and has faithfully served in a variety of ministries; including, Youth Director, Men’s Ministry Leader, Small Group Leader and Audio Engineer. He and his wife, Esther, have been married for over 20 years and have been blessed with six children.
Elaine Campbell
Office Manager
Elaine Campbell and her husband, Allan, moved here from central Illinois to Benson, AZ in December of 2022 after both retiring from Caterpillar, Inc. Elaine belives that God placed her here through Jeremiah 29:11.

Ammi Taylor
Worship Leader
Ammi Taylor is the Worship Leader at First Baptist. She was born (#4 of 5 kids) and raised in Benson. She has lived here all but 1 year of her life. Ammi married her high school boyfriend, Brian, right out of high school. They have been blessed with 5 great kids, 3 girls, Shaylin (married to Zach), Kaylei, Karris, and then 2 boys, Darias, and Terrail, one granddaughter, Kordelia and another on the way. She has been a homeschool mom for 17 years and counting. Music is what keeps their household lively. Besides parenting, and now grand-parenting, Ammi and Brian both coach sports and enjoy watching their kids develop into athletes. Their love of music has continued to grow as well. They have been attending First Baptist Church of Benson since they were in high school.
Brandon Bruening
Custodian
Brandon has proudly served as the custodian at FBC since 2022, diligently ensuring the areas are clean and welcoming for all. He shares his life with his wonderful wife, Emily, and together they have an energetic son, Noah, who fills their home with laughter and joy.
Shaylin Laura
Director of Family and Community Engagement
Shaylin Laura is the Director of Family and Community Engagement at First Baptist Church. She’s been part of the First Baptist family since childhood and has loved serving in many ways over the years — helping with youth, helping with worship, organizing events, and volunteering wherever she can. Shaylin and her high school sweetheart, Zach, were married shortly after graduation in 2022. Together they have a sweet daughter, Kordelia, and are excited to welcome another little one soon! Shaylin loves sports, the outdoors, thrifting, coffee, and anything pink. But most of all, she has a heart for young families and children, and a passion for encouraging parents as they raise little disciples. Her prayer is that First Baptist Church will always be a place where families can find community, feel at home, and grow together in their relationship with Jesus.
